Dangs Vietnamese Restaurant

Hao Thi Dang (pictured above) was born in North Vietnam in 1970. She is the oldest daughter of Ty Dang and his wife Le Thi Ninh.

Having had the tradition of cooking for a family passed down to her, Hao took on the role of mother and fed her brothers and sisters whilst her parents worked. The dishes are a tradition, a way of life, made simply, quick and healthily, and not forgetting full of authentic flavour. Dangs, which opened in April 2007 after an extensive renovation is a new and exciting restaurant bringing the taste of Vietnamese cuisine to Northampton.

Designed and created by Pinefields.co.uk décor, consulted by Miss Hao Thi Dang we have brought this wonderful venue to Northampton providing the first and only Vietnamese restaurant in the county. Our menu has not been altered to cater for western taste, what you eat here is what you will eat if you were to visit Vietnam.

The menu provides descriptive information with a photograph for each dish helping you decide what you would like to eat so not to leave you wondering, “what on earth have I ordered”? Awarded 4 stars from visiting food critics and described as “Little Gem has oodles of noodles” you will find yourself visiting us time and time again.

Our restaurant has been created to reproduce the very essence of traditional Vietnamese cuisine here in the UK.

With our fresh approach in Vietnamese catering you can see our chefs preparing dishes in our open kitchen. Sit back and relax in wonderful surroundings, this is a restaurant created for the 21st century yet capturing a timeless look and feel with stone floors, oak tables, granite tops and traditional music.

With seating for up to 50 people we can easily accommodate for parties. Fully licensed we can provide a wonderful range or wines, spirits & even several imported bottled Vietnamese beers. If coffee is your thing then why not try our fresh ground coffee beans imported from Vietnam by Trung Nguyên.

Vietnam is well known for its culture deeply submerged in food and drink. Cuisine is embedded in almost every person who is born there and has become an integral part of their lives.

It is therefore no coincidence that our chefs Luu Ngoc Dang (pictured left) and Duc Van Dang (pictured right) both born in Vietnam know all too well. They themselves have been cooking Vietnamese food for nearly 15 years and can proudly bring the taste of Vietnam to a wider audience.
